Custom Cake Order Policies

Ordering

Please allow 2–4 business days for a response to your inquiry. To help bring your vision to life, please be as detailed as possible when submitting your order inquiry.

Custom cake orders require a minimum of 3–4 weeks' notice. Wedding cakes are suggested to be ordered no less than 4 months before the big day if not sooner! Orders are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, so I recommend reaching out as early as possible, especially around busy seasons and holidays.

If your event is sooner than 3–4 weeks away, please don't hesitate to inquire anyway! Depending on my current schedule, I'm sometimes able to accommodate last-minute orders. Rush orders may be subject to limited flavor/design options and an additional rush fee.

Deposits

A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm your order and date (amount dependent on total). Your order is not considered confirmed until this deposit has been received. Deposits must be paid within 3 business days of receiving your quote. If payment is not received within this window, your spot will be released back into the first-come, first-served queue, and your order may then be subject to rush fees or limited availability if your date has gotten closer in the meantime.

The remaining balance is due no later than 2 days before pick up/delivery date. Wedding remaining balances are due no later than a week before the big day.

Design Changes & Final Details

All final details — including flavors, fillings, design elements, guest count and serving size — must be confirmed no later than 2 weeks before your event (4 weeks for weddings). Changes requested after this date will be accommodated when possible, but may not be guaranteed and could incur additional fees.

Tastings

Tastings are not offered for custom cake orders. Flavor selections are made at the time of booking based on the flavor menu provided.

Tastings for weddings are scheduled once deposit is paid. Tastings can be held at the bakery or you can opt for a take home tasting to select your flavors!

Allergies & Dietary Considerations

Allergies of any kind are taken very seriously at Bee Tree Bakery. While every precaution is taken, our kitchen is not allergen-free, and items may come into contact with the following common allergens: milk, eggs, wheat, soy, gluten, dairy, nuts, and tree nuts. Please disclose any allergies at the time of inquiry so we can discuss options.

Cancellations

Cancellations made within 2 weeks of the event date are non-refundable, as time and ingredients have already been reserved for your order. Cancellations made with more notice may be eligible for a partial refund or credit toward a future order, at my discretion.

Wedding deposits are non-refundable. I understand plans can change; postponements are accommodated based on availability and may be subject to a rebooking fee.

Delivery & Set Up

If delivery and/or set up is required, fees will be calculated based on distance and time needed to set up. This will be included in your quote. Please ensure someone will be available at the venue to receive our team at the agreed upon time.

Rentals

Any rented cake stands, dessert stands, or spacers must be returned no later than 2 days after pickup. A $10 late fee will be applied for each additional day.

Weather & Outdoor Events

For outdoor events, please note that cakes and/or desserts can be sensitive to heat, humidity, and sunlight. I’ll work with you on moving and placement of treats but cannot be held responsible for melting or shifting due to outdoor conditions beyond my control/
